Lyon Oaks 

Lyon Oaks in Wixom, preserves 800 acres of environmentally-sensitive wetlands within a 1,043-acre park.

  • Park features include a 13-acre, fenced dog park for dogs and their owners
  • Day-use area includes 3.6 miles of hiking trails, a picnic shelter, playground and recreation fields
  • Daily pass or annual vehicle permit required (please purchase prior to arrival -- Passes are only available at the Nature Center or Pro Shop when they are open)
  • Nature  Center features exhibits, programs for the public, scouts and school groups. 
  • Archery deer hunting in a limited area from Oct. 1 - Jan. 1. Michigan DNR rules apply.
  • Arthur Hills-designed 18-hole golf course and driving range
  • Complete banquet and meeting facilities. Food service by Oak Management; for reservation information, call 248.437.9200.

    Park Hours of Operation: 
    Approximately 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset. Nature Center and Banquet Center open year-round.

    Friday & Saturday
    10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    Sunday
    Noon-6 p.m. (School year
    Noon-5 p.m.)
    (Closed Christmas Day)

    Fees & Permits

    Daily or annual vehicle permit required (prior to arrival, from late October through mid-May (permits are not always available at the park). View park fees and purchase permits online.
